Peshawar civic body gets first woman chief - Newspaper

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday posted an officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, Ms Aamara Khan, as the first-ever female director general of the Peshawar Development Authority.
Ms Aamara (BS-19) was posted on the vacant post by relieving the Peshawar division commissioner of the additional charge with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the establishment department.
Ms Khan belongs to the 34th Common Training Programme. She has worked on different field and desk assignments in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
She was also the first ever female officer to be made deputy commissioner of Abbottabad, and has also remained Hazara division’s additional commissioner. ....

The Virtual University (VU) and the Civil Services Academy (CSA) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate and share the university’s educational as well as technological facilities.
The MoU states that both institutions would share facilities of VU campuses and online examination system to improve the effectiveness of the CSA training.
CSA Director General (DG) Dr Sajid Yoosufani and VU Rector Naeem Tariq signed the MoU on behalf of their institutions.
A three-member delegation comprising of the CSA DG, CSA Lahore Director Common Training Programme (CTP) Zulfiqar Younas and Additional Director (Research and Examination) Syed Shabir Akbar Zaidi visited the university. ....

LAHORE: Umar Sheikh was removed from the post of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore by the Punjab government on Friday.
He was replaced with Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, who was previously serving as DIG Technical Procurement, Punjab Central Police Office. His transfer reportedly took place upon a request, made to the prime minister by the Punjab chief minister.
A notification issued by the Punjab Services and General Administration Department stated that Muhammad Umar Sheikh (PSP/BS-20), Lahore Capital City Police Officer (in his own pay and scale) is hereby transferred with immediate effect and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Deputy Commandant, Punjab Constabulary, Farooqabad against a vacant post. ....
