Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. On Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m., the Vermont Sierra Club, with support from Transportation for Vermonters and the Vermont Natural Resources Council, will be hosting a virtual Transit Equity Day celebration promoting public transit as a civil right and effective means of combating climate change.
The Vermont Sierra Club is joining this day of action on Feb. 4 by hosting its first-ever Transit Equity Awards, a Transit Equity Day virtual conversation with transit leaders and award winners. Throughout the month of January, we will be accepting nominations for community volunteers, public servants, businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities. Nominations can be made via email to [email protected] with a brief statement of why a nominee is deserving of an award. ....
