18 prison inmates graduate from NOUN

A total of 18 inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) studying with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Corrections’ Special Study Centres have graduated.
They graduated on Saturday in various fields with various degree certificates.
In a congratulatory message to the graduands, the Acting Controller General of Corrections, John Mrabure, in a press statement issued on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer, Francis Enobore, charged them to see the educational advancement as a stepping stone to a brighter future.
He urged them to shun anti-social behaviours capable of tainting the new course of positive life they have chosen for themselves and be good ambassadors of both the Correctional Service and NOUN. ....

Nigeria not working under Buhari, APC - Sam Ohuabunwa declares for president


Mazi Sam Ohaubunwa, a former member of Presidential Advisory Committee on Subsidy Reinvestment & Empowerment Programme,(SURE-P) and current President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, has expressed deep concern over deteriorating conditions of things in the country.
Ohuabunwa lamented that the country is being run in an opaque manner and needs to be redirected for the good of all.
The Abia born Pharmacist, who is the convener, The New Nigeria Group, in a statement on Sunday, posited that the government as presently constituted is so lopsided and Nigeria cannot work like that.
Ohuabunwa who used the opportunity to announce that he would be joining the nation’s presidential race ahead of 2023 general elections, said every Nigerian who wants peace and unity must support power shift to the South-East. ....
