Slade was born deaf and wears amateur headgear and hearing aids. Page killed him with a fallaway slam and lariats in the corners. A pop-up into a powerbomb and cradle got Page the win.

This was a bit of a struggle early on as it didn’t seem like they were on the same page. Baker hit a DDT followed by an air raid crash. From there, Baker went right into the Lockjaw for the submission.
Jurassic Express defeated Midas Black and Jay Lyon (1:49)
This was a comedy squash. Lyon and Black are the team that does the circus lion/liontamer gimmick, so this match with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus seemed like a natural. Lyon had some kind of steak (allegedly) hanging out of his mouth. Jungle Boy pinned Lyons and Black in a pile after a pair of fireman’s carry slams. ....

Bailin’s Breakdown: Very quick match, not much else to say about that one. I guess of note though Page won without using the Buckshot Lariat, opting for the powerbomb instead. ....

During an Ask Kurt Anything segment of The Kurt Angle Show, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle revealed he was originally planned to be the first-ever WWE Undisputed Champion.
Vince McMahon however changed his mind and ended up going with Chris Jericho instead, to which Angle agreed.
I was actually set to win the (Undisputed) title. But Vince McMahon came to me about a week before and said, “Hey, I’m not going to put the title on you. I’m going to put it on Jericho, because he’s red hot right now, he’s working his way up, and he needs this title more than you.” And I agreed with him, so I said “You’re absolutely right. I’d put it on Jericho too if I were you.” So it was considered for me to win the title, but I think Vince went with Jericho because he needed it more and Chris was a red hot babyface at the time. We reported earlier that WWE had moved Mia Yim aka Reckoning from the red to the blue brand. In a further update, POST Wrestling is reporting that Slapjack is also being shifted to the blue brand.
