The festival has also announced the creation of Fundació Primavera Sound with an initial endowment of 200,000 euros. The aim of the endowment is to bring together the corporate social responsibility actions of the festival, the day-to-day life of Sant Adrià de Besòs and the neighbourhoods of Besòs i el Maresma and Diagonal Mar, where its headquarters will be located. According to a May 21 website post, the foundation’s headquarters will be “a space where music, education, social integration, feminism and sustainability meet to become the focus of the new institution.” View the lineup so far below. When is it? Typically the festival takes place across four days between the end of May and early June, but this year (if you went to the entire festival, which you could) it takes place from June 2 to June 12 (2022, of course). It s an urban festival, taking place mainly at Parc del Fòrum, on the Barcelona seafront, but also spilling into other venues across the city. There s several stages, and performances typically occur from roughly between 3pm - 4am, though they can start earlier and finish later. Okay, so why is this year so good? Well last year s was cancelled, and it would ve been the 20th anniversary. Shame that, imagine your big 20th party being cancelled, you d make sure it was extra-special when it eventually happened too, wouldn t you. ....
