Libéré après trois mois de prison, l homme d affaires a été condamné dans une autre affaire pour association de malfaiteurs, recel, escroquerie et diffamation . ....

A Lower Hutt man who filmed himself sexually abusing his 8-year-old stepson has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
The 28-year-old, who has name suppression, also abused his two nieces, one of whom only realised what he d done to her was wrong after completing a child abuse prevention programme at school.
The man appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court for sentencing this afternoon, having earlier pleaded guilty to sexual violation, indecent assault, performing an indecent act, and knowingly making and possessing objectionable publications. ....

Bernie Madoff, the financier who pleaded guilty to orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, has died in a US federal prison, according to a source.
Madoff died early on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Centre in Butner, North Carolina, apparently from natural causes, a person familiar with the matter told the Associated Press.
Last year, Madoff’s lawyers filed court papers to try to get the 82-year-old released from prison in the Covid-19 pandemic, saying he had suffered from end-stage renal disease and other chronic medical conditions. ....
