Guidance for vaccinated people offers increased social movement, not carte blanche

That’s the question more and more Teton County residents are likely asking themselves as vaccination numbers skyrocket. Across the county, about a third of residents have been fully vaccinated, according to the Wyoming Department of Health, though that number may not show the complete picture because some members of the workforce live in other counties and some residents went elsewhere for their shots.
For the vaccinated, life can return to something closer to normal, though not what we were used to before the pandemic.
“We are encouraging people to follow the CDC guidance,” public health response coordinator Rachael Wheeler said. ....

Courthouse celebrates 100 years


The Madison County Courthouse celebrated 100 years of operation on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“I can only imagine 100 years ago what it must have been like, something probably similar to what we’re doing right now,” said representative-elect Jon Weber. “Although they’d be gathering and circling maybe some teams of horses and wagons.”
The Madison High School band provided prelude music to the crowd of about 50 people and Boy Scout Troop 888 posted the American and state flags and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The County Commissioners recognized several community residents who they thought were instrumental to the legacy of Madison County including Reed Sommer, Gwen Sutton, Mary Lee Curtis, Angie Wood, Vicki Grover and former Sen. Brent Hill. ....
