Reconstructed Truslow Road bridge to open April 9

Route 652 (Truslow Road) in Stafford County is expected to reopen to traffic at a new interstate overpass on April 9, weather permitting.
Construction is nearing completion on the new overpass, which is being replaced as part of the 95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension project. The overpass, located between Beagle Road and Samuel Lane, was rebuilt to accommodate the construction of two new reversible express lanes in the median of Interstate 95.
The new overpass will be longer and slightly wider, with two travel lanes and expanded road shoulders. The previous Truslow Road bridge was built in 1963 and was classified as structurally deficient, indicating it was in need of replacement or rehabilitation based on its condition. ....

New North America president for Transurban

Tolling operator Transurban North America has appointed a new president.
Pierce Coffee, vice president of customer experience and operations, has been promoted to the role.
She replaces Jennifer Aument, who has taken a new role as chief executive of infrastructure consultancy Aecom s global transportation business.
A statement from Transurban says Coffee has played an integral role in the expansion of the business in the US and Canada that has grown by four times and has served more than 9.5 million customers since 2012 .
The company also acknowledged Aument s transformational contributions to Transurban .
Aument s new appointment comes into effect on 5 April.
She was president and CEO of Transurban s North American business, overseeing development, financing, delivery and operations of toll road infrastructure in the US and Canada, including its $4 billion Express Lanes network in Virginia. ....

What did Transurban announce?
This morning Transurban provided the market with a trading update and announced an agreement to sell a 50% interest in its Transurban Chesapeake assets.
In respect to the latter, the company has agreed to sell the 50% stake to AustralianSuper, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and UniSuper for gross sale proceeds of A2.8 billion (US$2.1 billion).
The deal also includes a potential earn-out between FY 2024 and FY 2026 of up to A$93 million (US$70 million).
In addition to this, its Chesapeake partners have exclusive development rights to invest alongside Transurban on future brownfield and greenfield growth opportunities in the Commonwealth of Virginia, State of Maryland and Washington D.C., as well as enhancements to existing concessions. ....
