MoD signs for Primary Medical Care Information Service

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed Cegedim Healthcare Solutions (CHS) to deliver a Primary Medical Care (PMC) Information Service as part of its Programme Cortisone.
In a two-year deal with options for two one-year extensions, the company will configure its Vision clinical solution to meet the needs of Defence Medical Services in managing occupationally focused primary healthcare.
The project will involve the integration of a number of functions into the PMC Information Service, including the ability to record consultations, create prescriptions and manage medications, order tests, including laboratory and radiology, and create referrals.
The system will also include Outcomes Manager templates, forms and workflows to support efficient record keeping, and Pharmacy Manager for dispensing medicines. ....
