Top horses see action in Philracom Classic

Published July 10, 2021, 1:58 PM
Recent champions Boss Emong, Super Swerte and Pangalusian Island banner the stellar cast in the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) 4YO and Above Classic Race at the Santa Ana Park in Naic, Cavite on Sunday, July 11.
Boss Emong is heavily touted to emerge victorious in this 2000-meter Triple Crown primer that stakes a grand prize of P1.2 million after ruling the Chairman’s Cup just last month.
Also seen as favorites in the race where the runner-up pockets P400,000 and third-placer gets P200,000 are Commissioner’s Cup winner Super Swerte and Presidential Gold Cup 2020 king Pangalusian Island.
Last year’s Triple Crown sweeper Heneral Kalentong, Road to the Chairman’s Cup winner Sky Shot and strong contenders in Son Also Rises, Goldsmith, Weather Land, Shanghai Grey, Big Lagoon, Rogelio and Spandau Ballet also vie for the lion’s share of the prize pool. ....

Younger - The Son Also Rises & The Baroness

I have never tried to hide my dislike for Quinn Tyler. I’ve also never tried to hide my distaste for Quinn and Charles. So imagine my surprise when they’re still together after The Son Also Rises, and we get an attempt at a Quinn redemption arc in The Baroness!
The Baroness was… certainly an episode I never thought we’d have to see in the final season of the show. There’s truly not much to tell from it other than that Quinn is made out to be this great, caring, charitable woman who didn’t admit to Liza in a previous episode that she’s using Charles for her run for Governor. Sure. Okay.  ....

Joel Kotkin's NEO-FEUDALISM: Just "Bravery Signalling"? | Articles

a-
Alien Nation was a vicious smear, even echoing the common paranoid complaint that Brimelow “repeatedly” referred to his blue-eyed blond baby boy (there was actually only one reference, in the unimpeachable context of the destructive effect of the interaction between non-white immigration and Affirmative Action quotas upon those native-born Americans who are not members of the so-called
 protected classes.)
But, as subsequent typically fair-minded VDARE.com references to Kotkin’s work show, it turns out that he shares many of the same concerns.  That’s true for his well-received recent book,
, despite (or perhaps because of) the fact he continues to pull his punches. ....

Economic Historian Gregory Clark's Lecture on "For Whom the Bell Curve Tolls" Is Postponed for Crimethink | Blog Posts

18th February 2021
A highly controversial seminar to be led by Gregory Clark, a visiting professor at London School of Economics, to be delivered for the Adam Smith Business School has been postponed amid pressure from student groups.
… The talk that was scheduled to be to be delivered was titled: “For Whom the Bell Curve Tolls: A lineage of 400,000 individuals 1750-2020 shows genetics determines most social outcomes”. In his book of a similar title,
For Whom the Bell Curve Tolls: Genetics, Demography and Social Outcomes,
I don’t see it for sale anywhere, so it’s either still upcoming or has been completely canceled. ....
