Westlife Development fourth quarter loss narrows to Rs 6 crore


It had posted a net loss of Rs 25.26 crore in January-March period a year ago.
The company owns Hardcastle Restaurants - the master franchisee of McDonald s restaurants for West and South India.
Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 357.58 crore, up 6.31 per cent from Rs 336.35 crore in March quarter 2019-20, Westlife Development said in a BSE filing.
The company said it registered an increase in revenue from operations despite regulatory headwinds, lockdowns, curfews and capacity limitations witnessed across markets.
Sales were driven by an almost complete recovery in dine-in and an impressive 142 per cent growth across the company s convenience channels. ....

She lost her right hand to electrocution at the age of 12 and has since struggled to eat outside by herself and almost never without inviting looks and questions from other diners. Sanjeev Agrawal: This chairman believes fitness leads to happiness, enhanced his home gym during lockdown


Sanjeev Agrawal, group chairman, MMG and CPRL (McDonald’s India – North and East), swears by Joseph Pilates’ quote, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.” When the lockdown hit, Agrawal used it as an opportunity to enhance his home gym.
“Keeping fit has always been my motto, and even in this period, my health has been my number-one priority. I have a fully-equipped gym at home and I recently added a Swiss water-rower and a spinning machine,” he says. “My mornings usually begin with a gym session. I start with yoga stretches, followed by cardio and some light weights to strengthen my body and end with yoga stretches. In the evenings, I go for a 5-7 km walk in my neighbourhood park. ” ....
