Madonna holding commencement this weekend for class of 2020, 2021


Some 1,670 Madonna graduates, who hail from 34 countries, have earned degrees over the past two years. Degrees will be conferred upon eight Doctor of Nursing Practice candidates, nearly 360 master’s and education specialist graduates, and more than 1,240 undergraduate students, including 11 of 47 Haitian graduates who are coming to Michigan to take part in the ceremony. In order to comply with state and local COVID-19 guidelines for safe outdoor events, the seven ceremonies are divided by college or school as follows:
The Graduate School, May 13 at 6 p.m.
College of Nursing and Health May 14 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
College of Education and Human Development, May 15 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. ....

It's Earth Day Year-Round at Madonna University

LIVONIA, MICH. – Reverence for creation is one of Madonna University’s four Franciscan core values,
so Earth day is another day for faculty, staff, and students to celebrate and demonstrate
their commitment to living out that value, and protecting Mother Earth.
At a special Earth Day Mass held in a socially-distanced manner in the University
Gymnasium, Father Charles Morris, assistant professor of religious studies and philosophy,
and sustainability advocate, stressed the call to care for creation that Pope Francis
asked for in his encyclical
Laudato Si. His homily explained biophilia – human affinity for loving nature and living things. ....
