KMC will need no grant if it properly manages its valuable assets, says minister

Sindh’s local government minister said on Wednesday that if the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) started to properly manage the valuable assets it owns, the municipal body would need no grant.
Syed Nasir Hussain Shah chaired an important meeting at the KMC headquarters to discuss the municipal body’s development projects. He said that appointing administrators for the KMC and the city’s district municipal corporations has brought a lot of improvement.
Shah said that priority must be given to the development projects already under way. He ordered inspections of these projects, and stressed giving priority to the important schemes in terms of completion. “If additional funds are needed, I’ll request the chief minister for a special grant.” ....

Infratil has hiked the book value of what was already its most valuable asset - a move that signals AustralianSuper will have to sharpen its $5.4 billion takeover offer if it wants to engage the

Police are appealing for witnesses as they continue to investigate the incident in which shots were fired at Police in Manawatū and Horowhenua on January 4.
We are piecing together a timeline of events and believe there are still members of the public with information which would be valuable to the investigation, Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thompson said.
We are specifically interested in speaking with people who saw two vehicles being driven erratically.
The first was a Silver Mitsubishi sedan in the Foxton township and the second was a green Mazda Demio which travelled from Foxton before carrying on to the Feilding area. ....
