Denver Pop Culture Con has sold its convention business to Fan Expo HQ, officials announced Tuesday, with a potential return for the event slated for late 2021.
The annual convention, which drew an average of 100,000 total attendees over three days prior to the pandemic shutdowns, hopes to return in late 2021 if health and safety mandates allow, according to a post on the event’s Facebook page. If not, it’s planning an April 2022 event. ....

The power vacuum in Tamil Nadu has opened up its politics to an opportunity for change, which voters must examine
Though every State (and one Union Territory) of India that will have Assembly elections this year represents a uniquely eclectic matrix of power across the contesting parties and challenges to
status quo, nowhere has a sea change in ground realities swept across the political landscape more than in Tamil Nadu. For the first time in half a century, the land of the Dravidian movement is joining the democratic fray sans the towering personalities of leaders in both the major parties that have historically ruled it the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). The passing ....

“I wasn’t supposed to be here — I was supposed to be an aborted child,” Sabree said. “But my grandmother didn’t believe in aborting any babies.”
Sabree shared her life story in a live presentation as part of the Central Texas College Facebook commemoration event this week supporting Black History Month through a series of presentations titled “The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity.” ....

Why I'm reclaiming my traditional name

all that remained is the Yellow Crane Tower.
Once the yellow crane left it will never return,
for one thousand years the clouds wandered carelessly.
The clear river reflects each Hanyang tree,
fragrant grasses lushly grow on Parrot Island.
At sunset, which direction leads to my hometown?
One could not help feeling melancholy along the misty river.
