DOUGLASVILLE, GA On May 19, Herman Braxton, 45, was convicted by a jury in Douglas County Superior Court for trafficking heroin and cocaine. The Huntsville, Alabama-resident faces a maximum of 61 years in jail and will be sentenced at a later date, according to the Douglas County District Attorney.
The DA s office said Braxton was arrested on May 8, 2019, by an officer with the Felony Interception Narcotics Detection (FIND) unit, which observed Braxton driving well below the speed limit and failing to maintain his lane on Interstate 20. ....

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. DNA evidence taken from a water bottle used by the now-suspect during a cross-country flight helped investigators crack a decades-old cold case, an affidavit says.
The victim, Roger Dean, was murdered at his Lone Tree home on Nov. 21, 1985. The perpetrator had entered the house while his face was covered in a ski mask, forced Dean to tie up his wife, demanded the $30,000 in their savings account, got into an altercation with the victim that ended with gunshots and was last seen running down the street of their neighborhood and into a car that witnesses said sped away. ....
