The first patients to be vaccinated against Covid-19 by their GPs branded the historic day marvellous .
The vaccine was first rolled out across the country last week, with hospitals – including West Cumberland Hospital, at Whitehaven – receiving doses to administer.
And the momentous days just keep on coming, as Cumbrian patients received the jab from their GPs for the first time yesterday.
The first Primary Care Networks (PCN) in the county to receive and administer the vaccine include Carlisle Healthcare and Copeland PCN, with great granddad Jim Addison being the first person in north Cumbria to receive the jab.
