DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.
The outbreak was declared Tuesday as a result of laboratory-confirmed cases in the Medical Inpatient Unit. Testing has identified two inpatients who have confirmed cases of COVID-19.
This is the second time a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the hospital. The previous outbreak was declared on February 8th and was declared over on March 12th. There were nine cases, including one death associated with the previous outbreak. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);
According to a release, further monitoring and testing will identify any additional cases in the unit.
