Mark C. Yanarella, a native of Naugatuck, retired from Ion Bank s Board of Directors completing a fifty-year career. Mark began his banking career in 1970 as a management trainee with Naugatuck Savings Bank, (renamed Ion Bank ).

In 1980, after holding numerous positions, he became Corporate Secretary and a member of the bank s Executive Management Team, overseeing the bank s lending function, a role he continued to play for the next 17 years. Mark was promoted to Vice President in 1983 and elected to the Boards of Directors and Corporators in 1985. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1990. In 1997, Mark was named President and Chief Executive Officer. He was ultimately named Chairman and CE ....

With the announced resignation of Hamilton County Commissioner Chester Bankston at the end of the month, local business executive Jeff Eversole has placed his name into contention to be appointed to the vacated seat.
Mr. Eversole is known for his work in the private sector as the Southeast Tennessee market manager for Walmart Inc. In his current role, he overseas local grants and giving into the community, asset protection, compliance, and daily operations of the corporate conglomerates’ business in Tennessee.

Mohammad A. Zubair, a physician specializing in pulmonary disease and sleep disorder medicine in New Jersey for nearly 30 years, and Kevin P. Egan, a member of the New Brunswick City Council and St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, were inducted into the Rutgers University Board of Governors today. They join the board as public governors appointed by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and confirmed by the state Senate.
“Mohammed and Kevin bring valuable and diverse backgrounds and perspectives to the Board of Governors,” said board Chair Mark A. Angelson. “Mohammed has deep experience and insights into our state’s complex health care system, and Kevin brings an extensive background in local government and business.
