PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A Greene County pharmacy resumed their COVID-19 vaccination clinics Friday with hopes of being caught up by next week.
The winter storm slowed down the business at Hyde Pharmacy, Inc., causing them to postpone their vaccination appointments.
The owners plan on rescheduling appointments and will be working to prioritize people who need to get their second vaccine then proceeding will be the ones scheduled to get their first dose.
Kenny Kuenzel, one of Hyde’s owners, says those who received their first vaccine have a three-week window before can get their second shot. ....

PESHAWAR: The second branch of the retail pharmacy was inaugurated at the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) on Thursday.
Member Board of Governors (BoG) Sabur Sethi along with Chairman BoG Prof Dr Nadeem Khawar, Chief Executive Medical Teaching Institute (MTI) KTH, KMC and KCD and Dean KMC Prof Dr Mahmud Aurangzeb, Hospital Director Prof Dr Roohul Muqim and Medical Director Prof Dr Amir Azhar inaugurated the pharmacy.
The retail pharmacy would facilitate the patients of medical and surgical intensive care units and operation theaters.
The first branch of the retail pharmacy is already functional at the hospital, which sells medicines, surgical products at retail price less than the market, said a press release. ....

Businesses touted as solution to distributing COVID-19 vaccines.
On May 15 Oregon’s COVID-19 vaccination strategy was dictated by Operation Warp Speed, the Trump administration’s vaccine plan. Although the plan distributed vaccines to states quickly, it lacked state-level guidelines and distributed fewer doses than promised.
State officials and health care providers were put in a precarious position of having to decide how to distribute a limited amount of vaccines. Some health systems prioritized vaccinating their own employees before the most vulnerable people in the community.  
“I wish there were more to Operation Warp Speed than ‘get the vaccine to the states,’” says Joe Ness, chief operating officer at Oregon Health and Science University. “A lot of granular details of the vaccine rollout were not considered.”   ....
