Wiltshire PCC Angus Macpherson awarded as he looks back on highlights of nine years in role

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson looked back on his achievements before stepping down.
Mr Macpherson was the first PCC to be elected in Wiltshire and Swindon during the inaugural elections in 2012 before securing his second term in 2016.
More than 50 guests including Office of the PCC colleagues, Wiltshire Police, local authority and other partner agency leaders saw Mr Macpherson receive a Lifetime Contribution to Policing, Crime and Community Safety Award at a special event.

Wiltshire PCC reflects on highlights and challenges of his two terms

Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson has published a report detailing the successes and challenges of his two terms in office ahead of his final few months in the role.
Mr Macpherson was the first PCC to be elected in Wiltshire and Swindon during the inaugural elections in 2012 before securing his second term in 2016.
During his tenure, he has represented the public during unprecedented events – such as the Novichok poisonings in 2018 and the current pandemic in addition to ensuring Wiltshire Police maintained an efficient and effective service despite significantly reduced budgets.
