The village of Montgomery recently announced that the 36th annual Montgomery Fest is back Aug. 13-15. The fest will take place in downtown Montgomery along the Fox River. The fest is back and better than ever with a jam-packed three-day schedule featuring live entertainment, a carnival, food, beer tent, fishing derby, parade, car show, fireworks, and more. ....

Organizations purchase greenhouse for Coshocton in Bloom projects Staff Report COSHOCTON - Coshocton in Bloom (CIB) has purchased the former Clary Brother’s Greenhouse on Denman Avenue. The purchase of the two-acre property was made possible by The Coshocton Foundation, The Montgomery Foundation, the Coshocton Rotary Foundation and individual support. The property will be owned and maintained by CIB with plans to remediate the site and build greenhouses to help facilitate the procurement and growing of plant materials. The Coshocton County Auditor s Office reports sale included 20 parcels of land for $60,000. CIB is initiating a capital campaign to complete the project which will include two 30’x96’ polycarb greenhouses and a support building. This location will be used to grow the thousands of flowers and plants for CIB’s various projects. ....

COSHOCTON - Offering quality medical care and serving as an economic driver to Coshocton County were noted as two main reasons for the creation of a Genesis Coshocton Medical Center. During a press conference on Wednesday, Genesis HealthCare System of Zanesville announced the ground breaking for the 60,000-square-foot facility would take place in July. Genesis investing $45 million, creating 200+ jobs with new hospital Coshocton Regional Medical Center says it is dedicated to and will continue to serve the community COSHOCTON Genesis HealthCare System based in Zanesville will offer a new hospital alternative to Coshocton County residents in early 2023. The Genesis Coshocton Medical Center represents a $45 million investment in the local community and is targeted to create more than 200 jobs. Matthew Perry, Genesis president and CEO, said most of those workers will come from Coshocton County. He said about 150 residents of Coshocton County work at the main campus in Zanesville and he could see many of them transferring to the new facility. ....
