Incumbent Darryl Fairchild Looks For Another Term As Dayton City Commissioner

Darryl Fairchild is running for re-election as a Dayton City Commissioner. He is the only incumbent out of seven candidates in an especially crowded race.
Commissioner Darryl Fairchild is the only incumbent running for one of two Dayton City Commissioner seats. This is his fourth time running. He won in a special election in 2018, and is continuing to continue his work for another term.
Fairchild did not seek an endorsement from the Montgomery County Democratic Party this year. However, he is confident that his ties to the community will push him forward.

Mark Owens serves as the chair of the Montgomery County Democratic Party. The party endorsed two candidates for Dayton city commissioner and one candidate for mayor.

There are seven candidates running for two open Dayton city commissioner seats. According to local Democratic Party officials, Dayton hasn’t seen a race this crowded in 30 years.
Commissioner Darryl Fairchild is the only incumbent in the race. He’s served for three years.
The other candidates are: Stacey Benson-Taylor, Valerie Duncan, Jared Grandy, Scott Sliver, Shenise Turner-Sloss and Jordan Wortham. ....

Nan Whaley: Dayton mayor enters race to unseat Mike DeWine

Whaley gained national attention for how she led Dayton after a 24-year-old gunman killed nine people and injured 27 others in a 32-second rampage through a crowded entertainment district on Aug. 4, 2019.
Whaley enters a race that already includes Cincinnati mayor John Cranley, who is also running for the Democratic nomination. The winner would likely challenge incumbent governor, Mike DeWine.
Cranley told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he doesn’t expect the primary race to be ugly, saying “I have great respect for Nan…”

Nan Whaley was born in Indiana in 1976, growing up in Mooresville, a suburb of Indianapolis. Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley on Monday announced she is running for governor for a second time and vowed tough action to fix political corruption in Columbus and create better wages and jobs for working Ohioans.
Whaley said Ohio has had the same “corrupt” politicians in power for the last three decades, but if elected she will fight for ethics reform and wage an anti-corruption crusade.

NORRISTOWN, PA The man who police say fired shots into the Montgomery County Democratic Party offices after the riots at the U.S. Capitol now faces federal charges.
Anthony Francis Nero, 48, of Eagleville, faces counts of sending threatening communications and cyberstalking, the U.S. Attorney s Office announced. The charges carry a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
With this stolen election and Coup d etat, violence is the only language you bloodsuckers understand, Nero wrote in part of an email sent the day after the riots, which left five dead, police said. ....
