County emergency teams revising radio plans

EDWARDSVILLE Local first responders have formed a committee to look at radio operability issues, according to Madison County Emergency Management Director Tony Falconio.
At the Madison County Board’s Public Safety Committee meeting on Monday, Falconio noted issues range from different communications systems to multiple 911 call centers.
“We’re just in the very preliminary talks,” he said later. “There’s always room for improvement.”
Falconio said they have to develop a new Tactical Interoperability Communications Plan, or TIC-P. The last plan was set up in 2015 and needs to be updated. ....
