EDWARDSVILLE A series of committee meetings and an executive session at Wednesday’s Madison County Board meeting are planned to deal with pending litigation, including a possible vote on settlement.
Possible settlements could include lawsuits involving former Community Development Director Kristen Poshard or the Veteran’s Assistance Commission.
An amendment to the Madison County Board’s Agenda Monday included an executive session “for the purpose of discussing pending or imminent litigation” to be followed by an open session “for the purpose of approving settlement of pending litigation” discussed in the executive session. ....

Jordin A. Reynolds, 20, was charged March 12 with residential burglary, a Class 1 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on March 11 Reynolds allegedly entered a home in the 700 block of Henry Street to commit theft.
Bail was set at $100,000.
Other felony charges filed March 12 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include:
• Jeremy D. Williams, 27, of Edwardsville, was charged with domestic battery (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Edwardsville Police Department. According to court documents, on March 7 Williams allegedly struck a family or household member in the face. It was noted that he had been convicted of domestic battery out of Madison County in 2019. Bail was set at $15,000. ....

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man was charged Friday with delivering cocaine near a public housing site.
Deandre S. Brewster, 23, was charged March 12 with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance while located within 500 feet of public housing, a Class 1 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Aug. 11 Brewster allegedly delivered less than one gram of cocaine to a confidential informant while being within 500 feet of residential property at Alton Acres, a public housing facility.
Bail was set at $100,000.

Two people were charged with burglary in separate incidents.
Kristi D. Bouillon, 32, of Alton, was charged March 10 with residential burglary, a Class 1 felony; offenses relating to motor vehicles, a Class 2 felony; and attempt offenses relating to motor vehicles, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the East Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Feb. 28 Bouillon allegedly entered a home in the 600 block of Valley Drive, East Alton, to commit theft; was found to be in possession of a stolen 2013 Ford F150 and a stolen 2009 Cadillac CTS. ....

EDWARDSVILLE A Collinsville an was charged with multiple counts of delivery of methamphetamine, which allegedly occurred on a half-dozen occasions in February and March.
Freddie J. Brown, 30, was charged March 11 with six counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, all Class 2 felonies.
The case was presented by the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois.
According to court documents, on Feb. 17, 19, 24 and 26, and March 8 and 10, Brown allegedly delivered less than five grams of methamphetamine to two different special agents with MEGSI.
Bail is set at $150,000.
