Fun appeared to have been experienced by all who attended this year s Senior Citizens Day on July 14 at the Anderson County Fair in Clinton.
The oldest woman in attendance, Lillian Young, and Cecil Haun, a 103-year-old veteran, who was U.S. Gen. George S. Patton s first scout during World War II, stole the show.
Lillian is 96-years-young and not only won the Oldest Woman honors, but also sported the Best Decorated Hat and took the title for Best Hog Caller.
Lillian held up signs she d brought to the Fair with the words, Pig, Pig, Pig, Pig and Porky Come Here, which caused laughter to erupt throughout the audience. She explained that she had lost her voice.
