Judge Archbald named to Commerce Court
U.S. District Judge R.W. Archbald of Scranton was nominated by President Willam H. Taft to serve on then-newly created Commerce Court.
When reached for comment about his appointment, Archbald told a Times reporter, “I will accept the place if I am confirmed.”
The Commerce Court judgeship came with a yearly salary of $7,000 and $1,500 for expenses. The term was for four years.
