MANCHESTER, NH – The U.S. Mint announced designs for the 2021 American Innovation $1 coins, and among them will be a coin paying tribute to Ralph Baer as creator of the first in-home video game console.
The design depicts Baer’s brown box game “Handball” on the right side of the coin. The left side of the coin features New Hampshire and Player 1 stamped on the coin. The words IN-HOME VIDEO GAME SYSTEM and RALPH BAER encircle the outside of the coin in a text that is meant to pay homage to Ralph Baer’s Odyssey game. On Friday, April 9, they will be dropping a new experimental beer called
E09 Hibiscus Bay (4.2 percent), which is a grapefruit and hibiscus gose.
