Salina Family YMCA and KWU teaming up Two organizations in Salina that both started in 1886 are teaming up together to strengthen their staff, students and community members. Kansas Wesleyan University president/CEO Matt Thompson and Salina Family YMCA announced the partnership between the organizations who will share a strength and conditioning coach, two graduate assistants to help run the Y sports programs and all KWU students and staff will have a free membership the YMCA starting April 1. The announcement was made in Mabee Arena to about 25 faculty and staff members who cheered after hearing the news during a news conference on Monday. ....
