PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Health Department on Wednesday opened its fifth mass vaccination clinic in an effort to deliver COVID-19 shots to traditionally underserved communities.
The new site, located at the Grand Yesha Ballroom on Snyder Avenue, opened has the capacity to administer up to 500 vaccinations a day, according to the health department.
Those looking to get vaccinated can pre-register at the clinic or by visit Philadelphia s website. Officials said walk-up appointments will be available at community clinics on days when pre-registered appointments are not full. ....

The City of Philadelphia opened its first city-run vaccination clinic Wednesday morning at Grand Yesha Ballroom in Point Breeze, targeting an area of the city disproportionately composed of ethnic minorities who are less likely to have received doses of the virus.Â

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) The Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium is administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Monday at Temple University s Liacouras Center.
The clinic is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for anyone who s Phase 1A or 1B eligible and also lives in 24 zip codes with high COVID positivity rates.
It s all walk-up. We are no longer doing any pre-registration, no online because we found that it wasn t equitable. Everybody doesn t have access to that, said Dr. Ala Stanford, founder of Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium.
No appointments are necessary for first doses at the Liacouras Center.
