TORNILLO, TX – A man being sought on multiple sexual assault/abuse of a child charges was apprehended by CBP Officers working at the Marcelino Serna/Tornillo port of entry on Tuesday. He was one of 27 wanted people U.S Customs and Border Protection Officers from the El Paso Field Office arrested during the last week.
“The work CBP Officers do is vital to protecting our communities and our country,” said Marcelino Serna/Tornillo Port Director Eric Fernandez “Some of the individuals arrested were wanted for heinous crimes, it is our duty to ensure that they are turned over to the appropriate authorities to face charges.” ....

CBP officers arrest man wanted for sexual assault of child


A man wanted in Arizona on several charges in connection with sexual assault of a child was arrested attempting to enter Mexico in Tornillo.
A 57-year-old man, whose name was not released, attempted to cross into Mexico at about 4 p.m. Sunday at the Marcelino Serna Port of Entry in Tornillo, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said.
Officers doing outbound processing found that the man was wanted on six charges of sexual conduct with a child and sexual assault and had an arrest warrant issued by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix, officials said. ....
