A man wanted in Arizona on several charges in connection with sexual assault of a child was arrested attempting to enter Mexico in Tornillo. A 57-year-old man, whose name was not released, attempted to cross into Mexico at about 4 p.m. Sunday at the Marcelino Serna Port of Entry in Tornillo, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said. Officers doing outbound processing found that the man was wanted on six charges of sexual conduct with a child and sexual assault and had an arrest warrant issued by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix, officials said.
