“I’m officially COVID-19 vaccinated!” That was the excited message Gabby Hayward recently shared on her social media page, adding, “Thank you, Elyssa Johannesen, for administering my second dose and completing my COVID-19 vaccination journey!” Gabby and Elyssa are friends and coworkers with Pharmacy Services at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. And now they’re fighting COVID-19 together. “What could be more special than friends vaccinating friends to keep each other safe?” Gabby concluded in her post. The women, along with Miranda Graham, another team member, all received the second dose of the vaccine on January 7. Their first doses were administered December 19.
In normal times it’s no surprise that big things happen in Texas, the second most populous state in the union.
