Activities and events return to downtown Janesville

May 10, 2021
Events and activities that were canceled last year due to the pandemic are beginning to make a comeback.
Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Christine Rebout says people have learned over the last year how to do things safely.
Rebout says Memorial Day activities will happen this year but instead of the traditional parade, there will be a silent march from downtown to Traxler Park.
Rebout says there will also be a Janesville 99 remembrance ceremony on May 30th, as well as ceremonies at Milton Lawns Memorial Park and Oak Lawns Cemetery on May 31st.
Rebout says the Rock Aqua Jays have also begun to practice and hope to have fans back in the bleachers this summer. ....
