ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party on Friday accused the government of stealing the elections in Azad Kashmir and said it will not allow the government to rob the mandate of the people of Azad Kashmir.
“We will not allow hijacking Kashmir elections like the 2018 elections. The Gilgit-Baltistan elections were also robbed,” said PPP Deputy Central Secretary Information Senator Palwasha Khan, Senator Rubina Khalid and MNA Naz Baloch while addressing a press conference here on Friday. PPP Chief Media Coordinator Nazir Dhoki was also present.
Palwasha Khan said that in 22 years, the PTI did not field even 22 candidates in Kashmir. “The prime minister had announced protest on Friday but where the protests are taking place,” she asked. She said the PPP will neither allow rolling back the nuclear programme nor will it allow any kind of deal on Kashmir. ....

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday once again called upon Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed to recuse himself from the commission to probe the Broadsheet scandal, warning that her party would otherwise reveal details about his past affiliations.
Talking to media on Wednesday after meeting the Khokhar brothers at their house, Maryam advised Justice Azmat Saeed (retd) to step down as the head of an inquiry committee probing the Broadsheet scandal. The PTI government will not succeed in dividing the opposition parties, she clarified. ....
