SHOCKING! 'Big Image' Media Making Money Promoting Dangerous Gun Violence

SHOCKING! ‘Big Image’ Media Making Money Promoting Dangerous Gun Violence
Ammoland Inc. Posted on
USA –  -(AmmoLand.com)- The images are disgusting and above all else extremely dangerous: a crying woman with an AK barrel in her mouth, children pointing guns at their own heads, pregnant women pointing guns at their belly, a toddler pointing a Glock with their finger on the trigger
– 1000’s of photos of children with fingers on triggers. 10,000’s of more images of adults carelessly mishandling what look like real guns!
These are stock images, known in the trade as photo illustrations, because they are set up in advance, as opposed to actual news photographs, which are taken live as news happens. Apparently, the majority of photojournalists have no understanding of basic gun safety. The big image licensing businesses take no responsibility, provide no safety guidelines, and choose to ignore the real-life dangers in the name of profit.

The art exhibition features artists from around the state, and the Northeast region of the U.S. “16 Weeks Under the Pines, 4, Negative” © Colin Burke “This image was made using a handmade pinhole camera, mounted in place at Hamden Hall Country Day School for a 16 week long exposure. This image represents what the paper negative looks after the long exposure. I chose to display the image upside-down, as that is how the image appears inside the pinhole camera. Due to the extended exposure time, everything, except the paths of the sun, vanishes completely from view or only leaves a trace behind -- reminding us that our presence can either be ethereal or lasting, depending on the actions we take.”Contributed photoShow MoreShow Less

FSC Calls Victory in 2257 Battle as Feds' Appeal Deadline Lapses

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—
The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) issued a statement Thursday afternoon declaring victory in its years' long battle to curtail the onus on adult businesses imposed by the record-keeping law passed by the United States Congress in 1988 known as U.S.C. §§2257. The FSC's full statement follows:
Free Speech Coalition’s long-running battle with the federal government has ended, with several substantial victories for adult businesses and workers. The federal government failed to appeal the case to the Supreme Court by the March 26 deadline, and, as such, last year’s landmark ruling in the 3rd Circuit now stands as final.
