Coroner identifies driver killed in Tuesday crash

The Pulaski County Coronerâs OfficeÂ has released the identityÂ of a man killed Tuesday night in a motor vehicle accident.
Coroner Clyde Strunk has identified the man asÂ Esau Diaz, believed to have been 32 years of age and living in the Knoxville area. Diaz, the coroner said, was identified Thursday afternoon by two brothers who had traveled to Pulaski County after being notified of an alert Strunk issued seeking assistance in finding the driverâs next of kin.
Part of the problem, Strunk explained, was that Diaz was carrying the identification of his nephew Alejandro â who ironically had beenÂ killed in a separate accident some three weeks ago. ....

Victoria needs to overhaul the way it supports drug users who leave the state s prison system, a coroner has said, following the heroin overdose death of a man four days after he left custody.

MALONE The state’s 2021 political calendar is about to get underway with the first day for signing designating petitions set for Tuesday, March 2.
There are four Franklin County positions up for vote in 2021, according to Tracy Sparks, the Republican commissioner for the Franklin County Board of Elections, including the positions of county clerk, county coroner, county court judge, and county treasurer.
In addition to county elections, a number of supervisor, council and trustee positions are up for vote in the county’s towns and villages, according to Sparks.
The first day to file designating petitions is March 22 and the final day to file a designated petition is March 25, according to Sparks. ....

More details have emerged about the death of a Christchurch toddler in a washing machine last week - but the child s name and other information have been suppressed by a Coroner to protect the family.
The fatal incident happened on Friday evening at a house in Hoon Hay.

The Deputy Chief Coroner is echoing a mum s warning about the extreme dangers of synthetic drugs after the death of her 25-year-old son from the harmful substance.
Dylan Hotter-Matehe accidentally died from using synthetic cannabis which he had taken to get high on March 8, 2018, Coroner A.J. Tutton has ruled.
The Christchurch man s death also served as a reminder of the need to get help immediately if a synthetic cannabis user collapses or becomes unresponsive, according to the findings released today. ....
