London, May 3 (IANS) Another 1,671 people in Britain have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 4,420,201, according to official figures released on Sunday.

Results: LIC-owned IDBI Bank posts profit of Rs 1,359 crore after 5 years

LIC-controlled IDBI Bank turned profitable in the fiscal ended in March 2021 after five years, posting a net profit of Rs 1,359 crore for the year.
In 2019-20, the lender had posted a net loss of Rs 12,887 crore.
IDBI Bank is back in black after five years, said the lender.
In the last quarter of the fiscal year 2020-21, the bank reported a nearly four-fold jump in its net profit to Rs 512 crore, IDBI Bank said in a release. The bank had posted a profit of Rs 135 crore in the year-ago quarter. ....

Results: Kotak Mahindra Bank Q4 profit rises 36 pc to Rs 2,589 cr


The total income rose to Rs 16,175.87 crore during the fourth quarter from Rs 12,084.71 crore in the year-ago period, the bank said in a statement.
During the quarter, the standalone profit also increased by 33 per cent to Rs 1,682 crore as compared to Rs 1,267 crore in the same period a year ago.
On a standalone basis, the total income grew to Rs 8,398.39 crore as against Rs 8,294.07 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The net interest income (NII) increased by 8 per cent to Rs 3,843 crore from Rs 3,560 crore in the same period a year ago.
Driven by a surge in bottomline, the board has also recommended a dividend of Rs 0.90 paise per share of the face value of Rs 5 each, out of the net profit for the year ended March 31, 2021. ....
