ESD 2 Moves Forward With Plans For Hillsboro Facility
The Emergency Services District (ESD) 2 Board of Commissioners met in a regular session Tuesday, April 13, and made changes to the district s latest project to build an ambulance station in Hillsboro.
The board previously approved a request for proposals outlining the project but voted to amend the project description based on new information that the architect received from Texas Accessibility Specialists regarding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.
Board President Tad Duncan said that the latest standards require that both restrooms be ADA compliant instead of just one. Accomplishing that will also cause other aspects of the project to be altered. ....
