Residents flock to Movin on Main event in Schertz

Residents flock to Movin on Main event in Schertz FacebookTwitterEmail With sunny weather beckoning, people grabbed their bicycles, scooters, strollers, tennis shoes and four-legged friends and headed to Main Street in Schertz on Sunday. Portions of the street were cordoned off to traffic for the third Movin’ on Main, an event put on by the city in partnership with the Schertz Family YMCA that is aimed at encouraging health and wellness. The annual event was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Vendors lined the street, hosting games and putting on demonstrations. Families tried yoga and martial arts, listened to a band, played cornhole, scaled a rock wall and chowed down at The Purple Pig BBQ.
