Visitation restrictions easing for seniors in long-term care
People in long-term care and seniors’ assisted living and their loved ones will have more ways to safely spend time together, with a further easing of visitation rules coming into effect on July 19 in British Columbia.
“The pandemic has challenged people living and working in long-term care in ways we never could have imagined, but we are now finally in a place where people can safely spend more time together again,” said Adrian Dix, Minister of Health.
Changes to long-term care and seniors’ assisted living include:
Visitors will no longer need to schedule or book in advance to visit loved ones, and the limit on the number of visitors for each resident will be removed. ....

People in long-term care and seniors’ assisted living and their loved ones will have more ways to safely spend time together, with a further easing of visitation rules coming into effect on July 19, 2021.

Individuals and companies that were awarded lucrative medical marijuana licenses by the state will gather next week to raise money for Missouri Gov. Mike Parson.

An invitation to Tuesday s fundraising reception was sent out to members of the Missouri Medical Cannabis Trade Association by its executive director, Andrew Mullins. The event will be held in the home of Hamid Hamrah, who Mullins identifies in the invitation as having a medical marijuana license associated with Green Farms. ....

Zoom townhall with Seniors’ Advocate and opposition leader
Shirley Bond, Interim Leader of British Columbia’s Official Opposition, MLA for Prince George-Valemount (BC Liberal Party) and Critic for Seniors Services and Long Term Care is leading and hosting a townhall series with The Office of The Seniors Advocate where Isobel Mackenzie will be presenting.
The Zoom townhall for Interior Health Authority area residents will be Tuesday, April 27 from 3-4 p.m.
“This is an opportunity for seniors to have a voice and for those who are connected with programs and services that provide resources and opportunities to our elders.
