Swindon-based developer Capital Land Property Group has just bought a site on the edge of town where it plans build 1,500 houses.
The company was given planning permission last year to build Great Stall East, one of the villages in the 8,000-home New Eastern Villages expansion scheme.
It has just completed the purchase of the 212 acres of fields and farmland needed for the development, which will see 1,550 houses, a new secondary school a sports hub and a park and ride completed.
Chief executive Jeremy Francis, said: “The recent acquisition is the culmination of several years of hard work and dedication by the Capital Land team. ....
