High Level RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 25-year-old Levi Dean Fox, who was last seen on July 10, 2021, by family in the area of Mackenzie County, Alta.
Levi is from Mackenzie County and it is out of character for him not to be in regular contact with his family. The High Level RCMP have been unable to locate Levi, are concerned for his well-being and would like to speak to him.

Two schools with confirmed COVID-19 cases in a northern Alberta county have moved students to online learning days after being given an exemption to the province’s online schooling mandate.
Alberta’s latest public health restrictions, announced last week, meant K-12 students in COVID-19 hot spots meeting case thresholds would have to move from in-person to online, but Hutterite and Mennonite schools were among those given an exemption.

A private oil and gas company with operations in Cypress County and Taber has had its licenses suspended by the Alberta Energy Regulator.
The AER said Friday that Sanling Energy owes a total of $67 million in security related to abandonment obligations on 2,266 wells, 227 facilities and 2,170 pipelines.
“Repeated attempts to bring SanLing into compliance have failed,” reads an AER statement. “The AER has little confidence in SanLing’s ability to conduct its operations safely and is taking measures to protect the public and environment and to minimize financial risk.” ....
