Charlotte Prouse of The University of New Mexico track and field team posted a new personal best in the 3000m Steeplechase, finishing at a time of 9:39.78 at the USATF Golden Games and Distance Open at Mt. SAC. The field included five runners currently ranked in the top-35 in the world in the 3000m Steeplechase. Prouse’s previous personal best in the 3000m Steeplechase was set at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, finishing as the runner-up at a time of 9:44.50. Finishing in ninth place overall, Prouse managed to stay consistent throughout the race and found her stride alongside Mel Lawrence, who is currently ranked 18th in the world in the race, through the last two laps. ....
