Chef Martin Bosley would like to see Canadian geese replace turkey and chicken on the Christmas dinner table.
“The geese poo creates an awful stench,” Amos said.
Some locals no longer used the area as their droppings coated the footpaths.
Each bird excretes up to 2kg a day and, with up to 200 birds on the lake, it was damaging the environment.
