Air Canada announces new nonstop service between Montreal and Toulouse, France


Air Canada announced today the introduction of year-round service between Montreal and Toulouse starting June 4, 2020. The five-times weekly flights will provide the only year-round service between the two cities and be operated with Air Canada’s Airbus A330-300 fleet, featuring Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

Air Canada to launch nonstop Montreal-Shanghai flights


Air Canada today announced the introduction of daily year-round flights from Montreal to Shanghai, China, beginning February 16, 2017. This marks Air Canada’s first direct service to China from Montreal as well as the introduction of a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on flights departing from Montreal. Tickets will be available for purchase on aircanada.com and through travel agents on September 28. All Air Canada flights provide for Aeroplan accumulation and redemption and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access, priority boarding, and other benefits.

Vancouver International Airport preparing for a resurgence in air travel


Passenger numbers are now increasing after the lows experienced earlier in the year from the spike in coronavirus cases, the implementation of new travel restrictions, and a slow start to vaccination.
YVR now anticipates it could see as many as 75,000 passengers weekly in July 2021 with travel measures easing, following the recorded volumes of 48,270 passengers in the first week of June and 59,192 passengers in the third week.
Each week, airlines serving the airport are rolling out more flights and reporting a higher percentage of seats filled with more people on planes.
But this would still only represent a small fraction of the airport’s pre-pandemic volumes. During a typical July, it would usually see between 60,000 and 70,000 passengers. ....
