A baby has died and another girl was injured in a serious car crash Monday afternoon.It happened about 12:30 p.m. at South 34th Street and West Greenfield Avenue in Milwaukee.Police said a 4-year-old girl and a 3 1/2 month-old girl were taken to Children’s Wisconsin for treatment.The older girl suffered serious injuries.The baby was listed in critical condition.She died Wednesday.Police said a 35-year-old man was speeding and attempted to pass a vehicle when he lost control and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle.A 27-year-old woman in his car also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.Investigators said the driver was not injured.He was arre ....

MILWAUKEE (AP) - In 2019, Rhonda Reid, a housing navigator for the Milwaukee County Housing Division, received a referral to help a chronically homeless woman who had also been involved in the street-based sex trade.
The woman, in poor health and struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, wanted to turn her life around.
“Housing was her starting point,” Reid said.

She’s been housed for a year now, Reid said, has improved her physical and mental health and worked on her substance abuse issues. And she just went on a job interview. ....
