SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The city of Sullivan has been awarded $2.6 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration for the City’s ever-expanding Sully Greenway Trail System. This project’s components include an addition to the Sully trail connecting downtown Sullivan along South Main St. from Jackson St. to the Sullivan City Park.
“The City has continuously sought every dollar available to continue the revitalization and betterment of our community,” said Mayor Clint Lamb. “We are grateful for INDOT for believing in our City’s vision as we continue to invest in the economic and emotion wellness of our current and future citizens.” ....

Sullivan awarded $2.6 million for trail expansion
The U.S. Dept. of Transportation has given the City of Sullivan $2.6 million for the Sully Greenway Trail System.

The City of Sullivan has received $2.6 million for expansion of its Sully Greenway Trail Sstem.
Indiana Department of Transportation granted the money which came from the U.S. Dept. of Transportation Federal Highway Administration.
This project s components include an addition to the Sully Trail connecting downtown Sullivan to the Sullivan City Park.
The project expansion is set to be bid in fiscal year 2025 and completed in 2026.
Mayor Clint Lamb sees the award as having benefits far beyond this project. ....
