OSHA Forms an Alliance with Two Maine Organizations to Promote Worker Safety The Maine brewing industry is continuing to expand; it’s a chance to spread the word about safety in growing workplaces. By Shereen Hashem May 17, 2021 OSHA, the Maine Department of Labor Workplace Safety and Health Division (Safety Works!) and the Maine Brewer’s Guild formed an alliance to promote worker health and safety. The alliance is meant to find ways to keep workers in the Maine brewing industry safe. According to a press release, the alliance partners will introduce lockout/tagout, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks, permit required confined spaces, electrical walking-working surfaces as well as PPE.
