COSA office hours during the holiday season will be:

Mohawk To Host Wednesday Doubleheader | Standardbred Canada

On Saturday (Dec. 19) Woodbine Entertainment announced the addition of two cards of live harness racing, to be held as a doubleheader, for this Wednesday (Dec. 23) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
With the City of Hamilton entering the Grey-Lockdown category as of Monday, December 21 at 12:01 a.m., Flamboro Downs will not be permitted to host its card previously drawn for Tuesday, December 22.
Following discussions with all appropriate parties and pending final approval from the AGCO on Monday, the card slated for Tuesday at Flamboro Downs will now take place on Wednesday afternoon at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Post time for the 11-race card, which will be contested under the Woodbine Standardbred brand, is 2:00 p.m.

TheStable.ca Raises $3K For OSAS | Standardbred Canada

Viewers of TheStable.ca Virtual Winter Open House on Friday (Dec. 18) raised $3,000 for the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society (OSAS).
Donations were collected from several of the 500 people who provided an RSVP for the livestream event, which featured 45 of TheStable.ca’s yearlings training in eight sets.
Each winter and spring, TheStable.ca hosts an in-person Open House at its home base, Tomiko Training Centre, in Puslinch, Ont. The event is always streamed online. Removing the in-person element because of the pandemic, the broadcast was enhanced to include hosts Mark McKelvie, Fred MacDonald, and Bill O’Donnell reporting from their respective studios in Guelph, Charlottetown (PEI) and Milton. Anthony MacDonald co-hosted from track-level.

Standardbred Canada’s 2021 Heart of Harness Racing Calendar is coming to a mailbox near you!
This year, due to COVID, and because our SC Field Reps are not working at the tracks, we will be mailing calendars to all of our Canadian members with their January issue of
TROT Magazine.
SC’s Members & Stakeholder Relations Department was thrilled to receive hundreds of photo submissions for the calendar that showed the true heart of Canadian harness racing. The people involved in the Canadian harness racing industry are extremely passionate about racing and their horses, and have a true connection to the sport which was evident in the photos and stories received.
