OSU A&M Board of Regents picks Shrum as next president

Dr. Kayse Shrum will be the next president of Oklahoma State University.
Shrum is currently the president of OSUâs Center for Health Services. She is a former member of Gov. Kevin Stittâs cabinet, as the Sec. of Science and Innovation.
After two days worth of lengthy deliberations, the OSU A&M Board of Regents selected Shrum out of four finalists.Â
She will be the university s 19th president and the first woman in the position.
Iâm so honored and humbled by this appointment, Shrum said in the press conference that followed the board meeting. OSU has a special place in my heart, and Iâm thrilled at the opportunity to lead this vibrant university and the OSU system into a successful future. ....

Matt Hancock’s proposals centralise power and have surprisingly little to say about adult social care, writes the visiting professor in public policy at the Centre for Health Services Studies, University of Kent.
Proposals to reform the NHS are now out and for once there seems to be an acknowledgement of the importance of local government in general, and adult social care in particular. What Happened: Earlier this month Dr. Nikhila Juvvadi, the chief clinical officer at Chicago’s Loretto Hospital, said that a survey was administered there to healthcare workers in December regarding who would get the COVID-19 vaccine and who wouldn’t.
